FAQ
Questions about our new plans
Why are you migrating my account?
We’re moving all customers to the new plans to give you the best version of Factorial. The migration means:
- Automatic update from December 1st
- No downtime — your new plan goes live right away
- All your data and settings stay intact.
- Access to new features immediately.
My current plan works fine. Why do I need to change?
We’re glad to hear your current plan has served you well! The reason for the change is that we’ve introduced major improvements — faster performance, fewer bugs, and new features that aren’t available in old plans. By moving to the new plan, you’ll:
- Keep everything you already use
- Get access to future innovations
- Enjoy a more stable, scalable platform
Do I need to sign a new contract?
In most cases, no. Your account will move automatically to the new plan. In very specific cases, we may ask for a new contract, but that would always be discussed with you first.
Will my contract terms and conditions change?
No, your contract terms remain the same. The main change is simply the plan and pricing update.
Am I paying more for the same product?
This update comes with added value. Along with your current tools, you’ll gain access to powerful features like Autoshifts, AI 1:1 Meetings, and Smart Decision Making. These save time, cut down on manual work, and bring real efficiency to your day-to-day. We’d be happy to walk you through them in a quick demo.
What new features will I get?
Our new plans include powerful, AI-supported tools that will simplify work. Recruitment, shifts, expenses - everything Factorial already handled, now supercharged with AI to help you work sharper and act faster. You can find a detailed list in the document linked above.
Will I lose access to my data?
No worries, you’ll keep all your data and functionalities. In fact, they’ll run faster and more reliably, plus you’ll gain access to new features from day one.
Why is there a minimum number of seats?
Our Terms & Conditions require a minimum number of users per plan. For most plans, this starts at 19 seats. Once legacy plans are fully updated, everyone will be aligned with this market standard.
How can you change the terms if I signed a contract?
Great question. Like most software providers, Factorial may occasionally update terms to meet new legal, technical, or security requirements. These updates are there to protect your rights and make sure your account stays secure and up-to-date.
We just renewed our contract. Why change again?
We hear you, and we appreciate your renewal. We’ll align the transition with your current contract so pricing changes don’t disrupt your team. On top of that, you’ll unlock new improvements that set you up for long-term success.
What if I don’t want the new plan?
We hope you’ll move forward, as the new plans bring more value and better performance. If you decide not to, your current plan will eventually be phased out and won’t receive updates or support. We’d love to help you find the best option for your needs.
Why didn’t you reach out sooner?
We totally understand the concern, and we’re sorry if it feels late. We’ve contacted all customers within the legally required 60-day notice period to give everyone time to review and prepare.
Why is Factorial increasing prices?
This is our first price adjustment in years. During that time, costs have risen, but we’ve continued adding new tools and improvements without changing prices. Now, with this update, you’re getting more:
- Access to AI-powered features (Autoshifts, AI 1:1 Meetings, our upcoming One agent)
- Continuous innovation and major updates
- Plans that scale and adapt with your business
How do I know prices won’t change again soon?
Stability is important to us. The new plans are built with the long term in mind, and any future changes will always be communicated well in advance.
How will my team learn the new features?
The updates are designed to feel familiar, just improved. Plus, we provide onboarding support so your team can get up to speed quickly without disrupting their work.
