We all love our time off and like to organize our holidays to make the best of them. But what happens when at the end of the year employees haven’t used all of their vacation days?
Can I accumulate time off from one year to the other?
Some organizations offer a total number of vacation days at the beginning of the year and you have to use them before it ends, and others have a policy where one can get a maximum number of accrued days depending of how long the employee has been on the company. Generally employers are free to set the accrual method they think best for the organization and the employees.
For example in recent years more and more companies have begun to experiment with their time off policies. Diferent vacation arrangements can be used as an strategic tool to keep their employees engaged and motivated, it can even be used as a method to reduce turnover. With thisin mind have appeared companies with unlimited vacations or vacations as a flexible benefit (where employees can “sell” their time off in exchange for other benefits and the other way arround).
As you can see, then, accrued time off is something most companies do. In those cases a time management software is a perfect solution for you and our new functionality will help you keep track of the vacation days each of your employees has decided to accumulate.
New functionality on Factorial: accrued time off
Now with Factorial you can select the maximum number of vacation days an employee can acumulate from one year to the other and until when does he have to use them. All acording to the time off policy you’ve selected for him. If there’s no maximum number of days you can just select unlimited accrued days.
On Factorial, employees can enter the software and select their preferred vacation days. then, their supervisor will recieve an alert and accept or reject them. Employer and employee are aware at all times of how much time off they have still to enjoy.
Using our time off management software you can manage much more than your employees vacations and absences. You can manage sick leaves, working from home days and any other kind of absence you can think of. All can be reflected on your calendar page and they can even be customized by color so you can see what’s going on in just a quick glance.
Hi, what if we want to put a monthly limit for number of leaves and it is a recurrent number that gets credited in the leave balance.
Hi Preeti, if you’d like to contact support@factorial.co, they can help explain about the holiday leaves better :)
