Cap next cycle time off requests
Stop time-off chaos before it starts. Automatically cap next-cycle requests to keep teams compliant and managers stress-free.
Time-off management just got smarter. We've improved how Factorial handles time off requests from future accruals, helping your company stay in control without the administrative burden.
Until now, employees could request and be approved for more days than they were entitled to in the upcoming cycle, leading to policy violations and payroll inconsistencies. With this update, Factorial can limit requests to the maximum days available at leave date, considering current and next cycle. This feature adds value for any company using negative counters to enable flexible time-off policies while maintaining control.
Here's how it works:
- Employees can use days from next cycle in advance, but only up to next cycle's accrual limit
- Automatically prevents overuse and removes manual balance checking for managers
- Helps HR teams avoid payroll errors and maintain policy compliance
- Fully compatible with existing Time off counters and smart decision making
Say goodbye to guesswork—future time off now plays by the rules.
You can enable this feature in the Allowance Settings after activating the option to use days from the next cycle.
